PRESS RELEASE 21-11-2014
The Payment of Hazard Incentive Payments
The National Ebola Response Center (NERC) started the payment of Hazard incentives for Ebola Response Workers on Friday 14th November, 2014 in all the twelve districts and the Western Area.
This payment was to cover payments for work conducted from 1st November 2014.
The Payment targeted 14, 329 Ebola response workers who were identified by the internal audit department of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED). The first round of payment has ended in all the districts, with some challenges that are being addressed.
NERC has asked of all the District Medical Officers (DMOs) to submit records of hazard incentive payments undertaken by them prior to NERC taken over the payment process on November 1, 2014. The records should include list of all payees by categories and the number of weeks for which they were paid. This list is required for NERC’s verification so that concerns about backlogs can be addressed once and for all.
Together, we will defeat Ebola
